This online interactive Course is designed to build your understanding of the key concepts around gender inequality and its impact in the workplace. This Course explores gender inequality, unconscious bias, barriers and resistance as well as tools and strategies to promote gender equality in the workplace.
On completion of this Course you will:
- have an understanding of gender inequality within the Australian workforce and the business case for gender equality.
- have an understanding of the barriers to gender equality, including unconscious bias, the merit myth and common problems encountered.
- be introduced to tools and strategies that will assist you in achieving gender equality in the workplace.
Course aims
This Course, which includes a 3-hour online interactive webinar, is designed to build the capacity of individuals to identify and address workplace gender inequality and take steps to improve gender equality within their workplace.
Course structure
This Course includes one 3-hour online interactive workshop and some self-directed activities/reading which can be completed prior to the online interactive webinar.
Time and assessment
This Course will take approximately 3.5 hours to complete. The Course does not include an assessment but does require interactive engagement by participants in webinar activities.
On completion of the Course a Certificate of Completion will be issued.
